Compatibility and Setup Tips

Camelot provides the same experience managing the hardware devices, but each manufacturer and device has a different MIDI implementation chart. That means that the number of features supported and the level of automations depend on the device and manufacturer. Please check here your device and how to connect it with Camelot.

CONNECTION SETUP:

  1. Connect by USB or MIDI Cables (using a MIDI interface on your device) and select the correct choice on Nord Lead by (SHIFT+MIDI: 1.PU)
  2. CC Mode on Lead should be on Send/Receive (SHIFT+MIDI 3.Sr)
  3. Program Change Mode on Lead should be on Send/Receive (SHIFT+MIDI 4.Sr)

GLOBAL AND PART CHANNEL SETUP:

  1. Setup Global channel on Nord Lead on Ch16 (or any different from 1,2,3 and 4) (SHIFT+MIDI):G.16) Apply the same value on Camelot hardware settings (cog/settings icon on the instrument map)
  2. Setup Part 1,2,3, and 4 on Nord Lead on channels 1,2,3 and 4. (SHIFT+MIDI: a.1,b.2,c3,d4)

CONNECTION SETUP:

Connect the Montage with a USB cable or with a midi in/out interface in both ways.

  1. Be sure the UTILITY > MIDI IN/OUT of Montage is set to MIDI or USB depending on your connection.
  2. Be AWARE about the UTILITY > ADVANCED > MIDI IN/OUT MODE : if it is set on MULTI mode you can completely manage the expanded items and multi parts BUT you have to trasmit on all channels if you want to play it from a master keyboard. You can use the advanced midi rounting of Camelot layers and item midi settings to manage that.
  3. Tempo Sync: UTILITY > MIDI SYNC. Set it to MIDI if you want to control Montage by Camelot, Disable clock out. Set it Internal if you want to be the master clock for Camelot.

CONNECTION SETUP:

connect the MODX with a USB cable or with a midi in/out interface in both ways.

Software instruments

Plugin host specifications

Camelot can host software instruments depending on the operating system and the device.

macOS (AU & VST)

Audio Units and VST plugin Instruments are supported (VST3 plugins are actually on Beta). The Audio FX plugins are not supported yet. They will be available with the purchase Audio Module that will be released in 2019.

macOS system requirements: macOS 10.10 or greater

Windows (VST)

VST plugin Instruments are supported. (VST3 plugins are actually on Beta). The Audio FX plugins are not supported yet. They will be available with the purchase Audio Module that will be released in 2019.

Windows system requirements: Windows 10

 

iOS (iPad) (AUv3)

Audio Units V3 plugin Instruments are supported. Other formats are not supported yet. We are working with Audiobus team to provide a smart integration between our systems. The Audio FX plugins are not supported yet. They will be available with the purchase Audio Module that will be released in 2019.

iOS requirements: IOS 11 or greater

Running Camelot is not very demanding in terms of system resources, everything depends on the type and number of plugin instruments that are loaded. The MIDI management for the hardware device is pretty light.

RAM: 8.00 GB

 

Windows (Laptop and Desktop)

Camelot runs on Windows 10 *

Running Camelot is not very demanding in terms of system resources, everything depends on the type and number of plugin instruments that are loaded. The MIDI management for the hardware device is pretty light.

We actually running test with earlier Windows version and hopefully we can extend the support to older operating systems like Windows 7.

Recommended system:

CPU: Intel Core i5 –  2.0 GHz

RAM: 4.00 GB

* IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR WINDOWS SURFACE AND TABLET USERS

In some cases we are experiencing issues on scrolling or with the use of the onscreen keyboard. Please install Camelot Free before buying to evaluate the behaviour and let us know if you experience any issue.

iOS (iPad only)

Camelot runs on iPad with iOS 11 or greater.

We actually running test with earlier iOS version and hopefully we can extend the support to older operating systems.
